The augmented reality app was released in the fall of 2017. Using accurately scaled furniture and updated 3D images, IKEA Place becomes a useful tool, not just a flashy gimmick. It's not Pokémon, but it's fun to use and might even help you find that side table you were looking for.

THE IKEA CATALOGUE

The process of creating this communication icon is as old as the brand itself. That's why we needed a new take on how we approach, produce and distribute content for mobile, web, app and Apple TV platforms.

The main challenge was being relatable in 49 different countries in 33 different languages - Arabic and Finnish are especially tricky. As you can imagine, this took countless hours of sketching, prototyping and cups of coffee. 

ALGOT EXPERIENCE

Our ALGOT storage solution is practical, versatile and one of our best selling products. So when have you never heard about it? Exactly.

The challenge for this project was creating an easy to use online planner, while creating awareness and communicating the benefits of this storage system. Oh, and there's a cat. 

DESIGN SYSTEM

We're really good at logistics and making furniture. However, we're growing fast in the area of digital innovation. So, learning by doing is how we work and get better. 

We need to create a system that streamlines the design process while saving time and money. The goal is to help designers, developers and communicators create solutions and look and feel like IKEA.

We released the design system early 2019 as a work in progress.
